The New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that it will pursue “a cautious return to normal operations” and in-person proceedings.
All 15 workers’ compensation court facilities will be open to attorneys, litigants, court reporters, interpreters and witnesses with scheduled appointments, effective Aug. 16.
Workers’ compensation court rules will continue to be relaxed, and the majority of court proceedings — routine list markings, pre-trial conferences, dismissals for lack of prosecution — will be held virtually, the division said.
