A move to create a statewide prescription drug monitoring program in Missouri — the last state without one — is in limbo while coronavirus restrictions keep the legislature out of the Capitol.
HB 1693 passed the House of Representatives in February, was amended slightly in the Senate and returned to the House on March 18, where a committee agreed to the changes. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, lawmakers recessed until at least March 30, leaving the bill hanging. The session is set to end May 15.
