Safety Training Scheduled for June

The Kentucky Labor Cabinet Occupational Safety and Health’s Division of Education and Training is providing training classes in June.
In all, the agency is holding seven training classes between June 10-13 in Lexington.
Classes on June 10 include an overview of the Kentucky OSH program, from 8:30-11:30 a.m., and an explanation of requirements related to employees' "right-to-know" about the hazards of chemicals to they are exposed, from 1-4 p.m.
On June 11, a class from 8:30-11:30 a.m. will discuss personal protective equipment, while an afternoon class from 12:30-4:30 p.m. will cover injury and illness record-keeping requirements.
A basic electrical safety class will be offered from 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 12. A course on excavation and trenching runs from 1-4 p.m. on the same day.
Finally, an all-day class from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on June 13 will cover bloodborne pathogen exposure control.
Classes are at the Clarion Hotel, 1950 Newtown Pike in Lexington.
