Members of Oregon's Management-Labor Advisory Committee on Friday tabled a vote in support of legislation that would mandate electronic reporting for workers’ compensation claims because of concerns over piecemeal language changes made to the bill.
Several committee members and members of the public said they support House Bill 2040, which would give the director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services the power to specify methods for reporting claims, denials and closures related to workers' comp cases.
