The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services announced that it extended its emergency order requiring property and casualty carriers to provide minimum grace periods for past-due premiums and extending claim reporting deadlines until the end of the month while it works on a new rule.
The department in June extended through Wednesday the emergency order first implemented in March for P&C carriers, as well as long-term care, life and disability insurance. On Wednesday, the department said it was extending the long-term care, life and disability insurance orders until Aug. 21.
