OWCP Proposes Rules on Minimum, Maximum Benefits Under Longshore Program

The Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs on Friday proposed rules to implement minimum and maximum benefit provisions in the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. OWCP said some of the provisions capping the amounts of compensation and death benefits, and setting a minimum compensation amount addresses areas that have become topics of litigation.
