The fight over whether California doctors should be required to actually use the state's prescription drug-monitoring databases will return to the state Legislature after voters by a 2-to-1 margin rejected Proposition 46.
More than 3.4 million people (67.15%) voted against the initiative and only 1.7 million (32.85%) voted for it, according to the Secretary of State's website.
