The Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited the Jacksonville Zoological Society Inc. for failing to protect workers from recognized hazards when training and feeding the rhinos. OSHA also said the zoo operator did not report within 24 hours the attack that hospitalized Pamela Robie.

Robie, 31, was attacked by a 50-year-old rhino named Archie in February, according to media reports.

She said she was kneeling in front of a training chute when the rhino attacked.

The Jacksonville Zoological Society has 15 days to comply with the citations, request an informal conference with the OSHA area director, or contest the findings before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
