The California Applicants’ Attorneys Association wants to sue the federal government after two immigrant workers were arrested at a Northern California courthouse in February, according to a letter sent to state Attorney General Xavier Becerra earlier this month.
The March 6 letter, authored by CAAA President Joseph Capurro, asks Becerra and other Sacramento officials for assistance and resources in filing a lawsuit against the Trump administration for allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to conduct “illegal” arrests at courthouses in California.
