A New Jersey state senator is making another run at reducing the statute of limitations to two years in workers’ compensation medical fee disputes.
Sen. Gordon M. Johnson, D-Bergen, on Tuesday introduced SB 786, which would require providers to file a dispute over fees no later than two years after receiving partial payment or a notice of denial of payment.
The current statute of limitations for fee disputes is six years under a 2019 court decision.
