Due to the continuing restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Carolina Industrial Commission will now accept pleadings, motions, petitions and affidavits that have not been notarized.
The party filing the documents needs only verify them in writing, the commission said in a bulletin. The rule is in keeping with a recent emergency order by the chief justice of the state Supreme Court.
