WCD Schedules Meeting to Discuss Adopting Latest AMA Guides

The Alaska Workers’ Compensation Division is holding a meeting with system users in January to discuss adopting the latest edition of the American Medical Association’s Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. The meeting notice cites a statute requiring the division to hold an open meeting within 90 days of the AMA publishing a new edition of its guides to select the date that the new edition will go into effect for rating injured workers.
