Data Show Municipalities Are Accepting Most COVID Claims; Three Presumption Bills Filed

Texas municipalities are accepting liability for approximately the same percentage of workers' compensation claims for COVID-19 as the state is denying. Cities, counties and other political subdivisions of the state have accepted more than three-quarters of COVID-19 claims when the worker tested positive for the disease. The state has denied nearly three-quarters of COVID-19 claims under the same circumstances.
