For the first time, designated doctor candidates in Texas will be able to take certification training online, a move stakeholders said could help boost the dwindling ranks of the physicians.
“I'm very hopeful this will make the training process much easier for designated doctors now that they won't have to travel to Austin for several days of training,” Texas Workers' Compensation Commissioner Cassie Brown said Wednesday in a quarterly meeting with health care providers.
