High Court Asked to Order WCAB Decide 'Grant for Study' Cases

A petition was filed with the California Supreme Court requesting a writ of mandate directing the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board to render final decisions on cases in which it granted petitions for reconsideration for further study. The petition was filed Monday on behalf of 10 injured workers who are still waiting for decisions after petitions for reconsideration were granted for study between January 2021 and March 2023.
