Electrical Therapy 'Reasonable to Try' for Chronic Pain

A therapy that uses electrical stimulation to try to relieve chronic pain could be an effective adjunct treatment to help reduce the use of opioid drugs by injured workers. That’s the conclusion of an article in RxInformer, a semi-annual publication from Healthesystems, a workers’ compensation cost-management company. The article focuses on transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, or TENS, as a pain therapy.
