WCRI: State's Medical Payment Per Claim Mostly Stable Since 2016

Medical payments per claim in California were mostly stable after 2016, with annual average savings ranging from decreases of 1% to increases of 2%, according to a recent study by the Workers Compensation Research Institute. WCRI recently released the 24th edition of its CompScope Medical Benchmarks, comparing medical payments from 2016 to 2021 among 17 states including California.
