The Nevada Division of Industrial Relations announced that the maximum monthly benefit for workers injured on or after July 1 increased by 2.9%.
As a result, the state's maximum monthly compensation increases to $4,183.82 from $4,064.40.
The increase coincides with the state’s average weekly wage increasing 2.9% to $966.24 from $938.66.
Nevada law requires the average monthly wage to be capped at 150% of the average weekly wage, multiplied by 4.33, which works out to $6,275.73 for injuries occurring on or after July 1.
