CWCI: COVID Claims Disproportionate for Skilled Nursing, Hospital, Physician Practices

Workers in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and physician practices/outpatient clinics accounted for a disproportionate share of health care industry COVID-19 claims, according to an analysis by the California Workers’ Compensation Institute. Health care workers generated nearly 39% of the COVID-19 claims filed through July, the most of any industrial segment. Public safety and government workers ranked second with about 16% of COVID-19 claims.
