A Pennsylvania lawmaker is trying again to pass a bill that would allow emergency medical workers to file comp claims if injured while they are responding to an off-duty emergency.
Rep. Curtis G. Sonney, R-Erie, explains in a memorandum that House Bill 231 will cover trained emergency service providers “who may hesitate otherwise to offer assistance at the scene of an accident, simply because they aren’t on the clock.”
