Workers’ compensation will provide benefits to first responders in Colorado who overhear traumatic events, under a bill Gov. Jared Polis signed into law. Polis on Tuesday enacted SB 26, by Sen. Rhonda Fields, D-Aurora. The bill builds on a 2017 measure that sought to make it easier for first responders to receive benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder.
