BWC Secures Nine Fraud Convictions

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s Special Investigations Department netted nine fraud convictions in October, including a Georgetown man who injured himself after taking his employer’s tractor without permission to a bar. Chris Owen filed a claim after slipping and falling from the tractor as he was returning it to his employer, who became suspicious and reported him to the BWC.
