The COVID-19 adjustments continue for workers' compensation agencies and courts.
Connecticut: The Workers' Compensation Commission has issued new rules for respondent medical examinations (RMEs) and commissioner's medical exams (CMEs) that can now be done remotely.
In a memo posted Wednesday, the commission chairman said the decision to conduct an exam by telemedicine will be made by the doctor. Claimants who refuse to participate will be subject to the same consequences as if they had failed to attend an in-person appointment.
