A California Senate committee on Wednesday passed a bill that would attempt to use workers’ compensation indemnity benefits to offset differences between what the employer of the injured worker pays to men and women after the bill’s author promised to continue working to address opponents’ concerns.
The Senate Committee on Labor, Public Employment and Retirement voted 3-1 to pass SB 1458, by Sen. Monique Limon, D-Santa Barbara.
