Farmers Insurance Names General Counsel

Farmers Insurance has appointed Steven Weinsten, the former chairman of the Barger & Wolen law firm, as general counsel.Weinstein, who also was insurance and litigation partner at the law firm, is replacing Frank Ceglar, a 36-year veteran of Farmers who has retired.Weinstein will oversee Farmers’ legal department, including the litigation team, and provide legal guidance to the enterprise and its executives.In his legal practice, Weinstein has handled insurance regulatory matters, complex business litigation and bad faith litigation, Farmers said.
