The U.S. Department of Labor will host an informational session in Lisle, Illinois, to discuss benefits available under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Act.
The program provides lump-sum payments and medical care for current and former federal workers with illnesses from working in the nuclear weapons industry.
Representatives from the DOL will be present to answer questions, assist in filing claims or provide claim status updates.
The outreach event is from 9-4 p.m. July 18 at the Sheraton Lisle Naperville.
