Indiana's Second Injury Fund will raise its assessment on insurers for 2021, thanks to almost $7 million in disbursements in 2019, the Workers' Compensation Board announced.
The board did not explain how much the assessment would be. It said the balance in the fund is about $3.7 million, but disbursements were double that. An assessment is needed when assets are less than 135% of the previous year's payments.
