A California lawmaker moved to the Assembly’s “inactive file” a bill that would require some doctors performing utilization review to be licensed in the state.
Assembly Majority Leader Isaac Bryan, D-Los Angeles, on Monday requested that SB 636 be placed on the chamber’s inactive file. The bill, by Sen. Dave Cortese, D-Campbell, would require doctors performing utilization review on claims involving private employers to be licensed by the Medical Board of California.
