State Lawmakers Delay Vote on Reform Bill

Kentucky lawmakers delayed an expected vote Tuesday on a controversial workers' comp reform bill and a much more worker-friendly alternative, to allow time for additional amendments to be filed after the long holiday weekend. Opposition has been building to the original House Bill 2 by Rep. Adam Koenig, R-Erlanger, which includes increases to disability payments but also caps the duration of benefits on all but the permanently totally disabled to 15 years, and makes other cuts.
