A congresswoman rumored to be on Joe Biden’s short list of potential running mates introduced legislation that would create a presumption that COVID-19 is an occupational disease for Transportation Security Administration employees.
The presumption in HR 6656, introduced Friday by U.S. Rep. Val Demings, D-Florida, would apply to air marshals, dog handlers, transportation security officers and any other TSA worker “carrying out duties that require substantial contact with the public.”
