Three bills that would create COVID-19 presumptions were held in suspense earlier this week and will be heard during committee meetings today.
Assembly Bill 196, Assembly Bill 664 and Senate Bill 1159 would, to varying degrees, establish presumptions that workers who contracted COVID-19 did so while on the job.
The bills passed their respective committees but were moved to suspense so that legislators could further evaluate potential financial impacts before voting whether to move them to their respective legislative floors.
