Medical fees in Florida, stagnant for many years, will rise with the introduction of a new reimbursement schedule, but across the board they will remain close to the Medicare rate -- much more so than in the majority of states, a report by the Workers Compensation Research Institute concludes.
The report, with emphasis on the Florida Workers' Compensation Health Care Providers' Reimbursement Manual, covering physicians and other health care providers, was commissioned ahead of the 2016 session of the state Legislature.
