Employers can require workers to show proof that they have been vaccinated for the coronavirus before returning to work — in most cases, according to new guidelines posted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The guidelines, published Wednesday, note that a COVID-19 shot is not considered a medical exam. And asking workers to show proof of vaccination is not a disability-related inquiry that could run afoul of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
