EEOC Guidelines Say Employers Can Ask Workers to Show Proof of Vaccination

Employers can require workers to show proof that they have been vaccinated for the coronavirus before returning to work — in most cases, according to new guidelines posted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The guidelines, published Wednesday, note that a COVID-19 shot is not considered a medical exam. And asking workers to show proof of vaccination is not a disability-related inquiry that could run afoul of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
