Governor Appoints Former Workers' Comp Attorney to Supreme Court

Gov. Peter Shumlin (D) will appoint Judge Harold “Duke” Eaton Jr. to serve on the state Supreme Court. Judge Eaton has been a trial court judge since 2004. Prior to that he was in private practice for more than two decades, handling civil matters such as workers' compensation cases, insurance defense and commercial litigation, according to the Vermont Standard newspaper.
