As more states debate enacting presumptions for first responders and other essential employees in the era of COVID-19, doctors and other workers’ compensation stakeholders continue to try to learn how and why workers get sick.
What they find could be the basis for whether states choose to adopt expanded protections for employees, several panelists said Tuesday during Day 2 of the Workers’ Compensation Institute's virtual conference.
