Gov. Mark Gordon has appointed Jeff Rude as commissioner of the Wyoming Insurance Department.
Rude was deputy insurance commissioner for the Department of Insurance for five years and spent one year as senior health policy and planning analyst.
He was named interim commissioner earlier this year, following the departure of former Commissioner Tom Glause.
Rude spent 24 years as an Air Force judge advocate and was general counsel at F.E. Warren Air Force Base for three years before joining the Department of Insurance in 2013.
