A pair of bills filed in advance of the legislative session that begins Jan. 20 would restrict dispensing and repackaging of some controlled substances in Alaska and authorize a 42.6% increase in permanent partial impairment benefits.
House Bill 31, by Rep. Kurt Olson, R-Soldotna, would give the Workers' Compensation Board the authority to adopt regulations necessary to restrict the dispensing and repackaging of Schedule II and Schedule III controlled substances.
