High Court Denies Rehearing of Dispute over Enhanced PTD Award

The Kentucky Supreme Court last week denied an employer's request that it reconsider its determination that the employer was liable for an enhanced award of benefits to a worker's four-story fall down an elevator shaft during a failed attempted rescue from a stalled elevator car.The case was Hornback v. Hardin Memorial Hospital, No. 2012-SC-000195-WC.Patricia Hornback worked for the Hardin Memorial Hospital as a janitor.
