Contractor Class Code Certification Placed on Suspense File

A bill that would require California contractors to provide the classification codes they use when buying workers’ compensation coverage as a condition of receiving or renewing a license was placed on hold after an analysis said the Contractors State License Board can’t absorb the estimated quarter-million dollar implementation costs. Assembly Bill 336 would prohibit CSLB from awarding a license to any contractor that fails to provide class code information.
