Governor Picks Hickey for New Term on Labor and Industrial Relations

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has nominated John J. Hickey of Columbia to the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission for a new term ending July 27, 2014.The commission reviews administrative appeals of workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, crime victims' compensation and tort victims' compensation cases, and also conducts evidentiary hearings pertaining to prevailing wage objections to general and annual wage orders.Hickey has served on the commission since 2002.Hickey represented the 80th District in the Missouri House of Representatives from 1993 to 2002, and served as c...
