Investigators with the California Department of Insurance (CDI) Criminal Investigations Branch's Fraud Division announced Friday the arrest of a Fresno resident on workers' compensation fraud charges. Richard Sharrah, Jr., 27, was arrested yesterday and booked into the Fresno County Jail. He was charged with four felony counts of insurance fraud and bail was set at $20,000. Sharrah could face up to five years in state prison and a maximum fine of $50,000.
