State of Michigan Awards EDI Consultant Contract to Aerie EDI Group

Aerie EDI Group (AEG) awarded the bid to consult with Michigan Workers' Disability Compensation Agency (WDCA) on their modernization project. AEG staff will assist in the development, testing and implementation of the EDI component of their new system.
A significant feature of the new system is electronic filing of claims and migration to the most recent version of proof of insurance coverage (POC). Developing processes to align with the national standards is complex and highly detailed. WDCA wanted to develop their EDI program in-house. However, they recognized the need for assistance to develop and implement EDI programs using the national standards developed by the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC).
Aerie EDI was selected based on their ability to provide effective solutions to complex reporting issues. AEG's experienced staff allows Michigan WDCA to develop, maintain and control their own EDI data and programs. AEG can assist Jurisdictions' modernization efforts for Claims, Proof of Coverage, Adjudication and provide expertise in all areas of electronic reporting using IAIABC EDI standards for First Reports of Injury (FROI), Subsequent Reports of Injury (SROI) and Proof of Coverage (POC). AEG also has EDI software modules that can be installed at the client site to be used for Edits and Sequencing.
