Patrick Murray Named President of High Point Underwriters

Occupational and accident program administrator High Point Underwriters announced Patrick Murray will be appointed president on Jan. 1 to replace Dave King, founder and CEO of the company, who will retire at the end of the year.

Murray’s focus in this new role will be to oversee the continued growth of High Point Underwriters' current programs and to develop new insurance programs for independent contractors, the company said in a statement. He will be based out of Woodridge, Illinois.
Murray has more than 18 years of underwriting, marketing and management experience in accident specialty insurance products. Before joining High Point, he was a regional sales vice president of specialty products at Pan-American Life Insurance Group in Oakbrook, Illinois. He also held underwriting positions at both Chubb and Zurich in their accident divisions.
Murray holds a master's degree in public administration from Governors State University and a bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.
High Point Underwriters is a program administrator specializing in occupational accident coverage for independent contractors, and workers' compensation coverage for motor carriers.
The company is based in Morris Plains, New Jersey, and owned by K2 Insurance Services, which is based in San Diego.
