Barrett Business Services, a professional employer organization that faced scrutiny from regulators and shareholders last year when a large, sudden transfer to boost its workers' compensation reserves wiped out profits, has reported a 20% increase in net income in the second quarter of 2015.
The company's net income was $8.7 million, up from $7.3 million during the second quarter of 2014, according to BBSI's most recent earnings report. The company added a net of 201 clients and net revenues grew 21% from $151.1 million to $182.4 million.
