California Gov. Gavin Newsom appointed Meagan Subers to the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation, where she will serve out the remainder of the term of another commissioner the governor named as his legislative affairs secretary.
Subers, a lobbyist who owns Capitol Connection in Sacramento and represents labor organizations including the California Professional Firefighters, was appointed to serve a term running through Dec. 31.
