Manufacturer Cited for 17 Violations after Worker's Chemical Exposure Death

The federal Occupational Safety and Health administration has cited MFG Chemical Inc. for 17 safety and health violations after a worker died when chemical vapors from an overpressurized reactor burned his respiratory system, OSHA announced in a release. MFG’s facilities are located in Dalton, Georgia. OSHA began its inspection last July after a media referral alleged that a chemical release had occurred at the manufacturing facility where the incident resulting in the fatality occurred.
