The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has launched a new effort to address the workplace needs and challenges of aging workers.
Called the National Center for Productive Aging and Work, or NCPAW, the center will also spotlight the benefits to employers of retaining older workers.
The new effort, announced last week, comes as more workers are postponing retirement. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics, by 2020, one in four American workers will be over the age of 55.
