Supreme Court Upholds Worker's Entitlement to Surgery for Aggravation of Knee Condition

The West Virginia Supreme Court upheld a finding that a worker was entitled to arthroscopic knee surgery due to the aggravation of a prior compensable injury. Case: Office of the Insurance Commissioner v. Johns, No. 21-0811, 06/13/2023. Facts: Jeffrey Johns worked for RNG Service Co. He suffered injuries to his left leg in April 1990 during a gas line explosion. Johns underwent multiple surgeries before being able to return to work as an auto parts salesman in 1993.
