American International Group has not only hired a new chief investment officer, but scooped up the man's former company along with him.
Douglas Dachille will become AIG's new CIO and executive vice president, according to a Tuesday press release. AIG is also purchasing Principles Capital Management, known by the name First Principles, a privately-held investment management company for people on fixed incomes. Dachille has been the chief executive officer of First Principles for 11 years, according to the statement.
