The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health fined a police department and six health care facilities a combined $109,040 for allegedly failing to protect their employees from COVID-19.
The Santa Rosa Police Department received the largest fine at $32,000. The agency commonly referred to as Cal/OSHA said the police department failed to implement screening and referral procedures for people exhibiting symptoms in March and failed to report employees who fell ill.
